Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using House Cup (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

Description of Service

House Cup is a family behavior tracking and reward system that allows parents and caregivers to:

  • Track positive and negative behaviors for children using a point system
  • Create and manage reward catalogs that children can redeem points for
  • Provide a child-accessible view where children can see their point balance and available rewards
  • Invite other caregivers to participate in family behavior management

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them with others
  • Use the Service in a manner consistent with its intended purpose as a family behavior management tool
  • Ensure that any child who accesses the Child View does so under your supervision or with your authorization
  • Not use the Service to track, monitor, or collect data about children who are not your own or for whom you do not have legal guardianship or authorization
  • Not attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose

Children's Privacy

The Service includes features accessible to children. By creating child profiles, you consent to the collection and use of your child's information as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child for whom you create a profile and that you have the authority to consent to the collection and use of their information.

You may revoke consent and request deletion of your child's data at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of House Cup and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create within the Service (such as category names, reward descriptions, and child profile information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, House Cup and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

House Cup does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the app settings or by contacting us at support@housecup.app.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms or conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users or the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your account data in accordance with the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Delaware.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by:

  • Posting a prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect
  • Sending an email notification to the address associated with your account
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
